Los miembros de la selección de Argentina que ganaron el Mundial de Qatar 2022, recibieron este lunes 27 de marzo, un espectacular homenaje en la sede de la CONMEBOL en Asunción, Paraguay, previo al sorteo de la fase de grupos de la Copa Libertadores y Sudamericana 2023.
El grupo liderado por el entrenador Lionel Scaloni, además de los jugadores, cuerpo técnico y dirigentes de la Asociación del Fútbol Argentino, recibieron preseas y trofeos para recordar el acontecimiento en la denominada “Noche de las Estrellas, la Copa vuelve a casa”.
En el homenaje, Scaloni recibió de manos del presidente de la Conmebol, Alejandro Domínguez, una pieza de orfebre con la figura de las tres copas que ganó al frente de la Albiceleste: la Copa del Mundo de 2022, la Copa América de 2021 y la Finalisima ante el campeón de la Europa en 2022.
Los organizadores destacaron que el reconocimiento se produce 20 años después del último título mundial alcanzado por una selección sudamericana, Brasil, en el Mundial Corea del Sur y Japón 2002.
